On Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 2:59 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 1000 block of IH-10 East, westbound in reference to a major single vehicle crash. An 18 wheeler pulling a trailer lost control and struck the concrete barrier along the shoulder of the highway. The semi-truck went over the barrier and struck a tree. The driver of the 18 wheeler was transported to a local hospital where she died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. The fatality victim was identified as Kristen Humphries, a 34 year old resident of Frisco, Texas. Next of kin has been notified. The investigation is on-going.
