Beaumont Public Health to Host Free Back-to-School Immunization Clinic and Health Fair for the Community
You’re invited to join us on August 12, 2023, from 9 am - 1 pm at Beaumont Public Health (3040 College St.) for an all-ages event to kick off the school year. Immunizations will be available for adults and children (for uninsured, underinsured, and Medicaid), along with diabetes assessments and education (height, weight, BMI, blood pressure), Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) services (sign up for qualifying applicants), and STI/HIV/TB information.
Community Partners will also be on hand providing additional services and information, including Jefferson County Health Department (Primary Care), DentaQuest (Dental Services), Legacy (Primary Care), Triangle Area Network (Primary Care), Community Health Choices (Medicaid/CHIP), Affordable Care Act representative, UTMB (Women Services), ANWEP (Blood Pressure/Blood Sugar Screening), Amerigroup - (Health Insurance Advisor), Texas Star Health Plan, Buckner (child services), Rise Center (disability services), and Raising Awesome Awareness (Special Needs services).
“We’re excited to get back into the school spirit and ensure everyone starts the year happy and healthy and on the right foot,” said Beaumont Public Health Director Kenneth Coleman.
About Beaumont Public Health: The Beaumont Public Health Department is responsible for maintaining the general health of the city of Beaumont. Their divisions include clinical services, vital statistics, environmental health, and WIC, a statewide initiative for mothers and children. They offer services such as food permitting, health inspections, vaccinations, STI and tuberculosis clinics, and record requests.
