Join Us for a Free Family Fun Day at the Beaumont Municipal Airport Quarterly Fly-in
The Beaumont Municipal Airport is excited to host the first Quarterly Fly-In of 2023 on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 10 am until 4 pm at the Beaumont Municipal Airport (KBMT) at 455 Keith Road. There will be favorite food trucks, antique cars, vintage planes, sky diving, axe throwing and discount fuel for pilots.
Airport Manager Chris Meaux said, "We had over 1500 people at our last event and can't wait to see many new faces out at the airport. It's sure to be a great family-filled day.”
The event is free for all to attend, and everyone in your group will find something to enjoy. Take pictures, talk to pilots, and be sure to inquire about the new flight simulator training device which will be available later this year. Aspiring pilots can also benefit from talking to some of these seasoned flyers, find out when the night flight school starts, and more. You can keep up on all the exciting things the airport is doing on their Facebook page.
About Beaumont Municipal Airport: The Beaumont Municipal Airport was originally constructed during the Great Depression as a Works Progress Administration Project (WPA) activated on October 1, 1937. During World War I1, the Army Air Corps used the field as a base of operations for antisubmarine patrols. Trans-Texas Airways and Delta Airlines provided commercial service until 1946. Since that time, the City of Beaumont has operated the Beaumont Municipal Airport as a general aviation facility.
