The Beaumont Police Department will host an Appreciation and Swearing In Ceremony on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at The Event Centre.
The following Officers will be promoted and sworn in:
Onafre Tyler has served with Beaumont PD for eighteen (18) years. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Lamar University. During his tenure, Onafre has served in the Patrol Division as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Supervisor and Watch Commander. He has also served in the Criminal Investigations Division with the SETX Auto Theft Task Force as an Investigator and as the Unit Commander. Today, Onafre will be promoted to the rank of Captain.
Cody Courts has served with Beaumont PD for fourteen (14) years. During his tenure, Cody has worked as a Field Training Officer, has worked with our Hostage Negotiation Team, and has worked in our Narcotics Unit. In September 2015, Cody was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and worked as a Patrol Supervisor and also worked in the Internal Affairs Unit. Today, Cody will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Andre Reynolds has served with Beaumont PD for thirteen (13) years. During his tenure, Andre has worked as a Patrol Officer and was later promoted to the rank of Sergeant, where he worked as a Patrol Supervisor. Today, Andre will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Christopher Price has served with Beaumont PD for eleven (11) years. During his tenure, Christopher has worked as a Field Training Officer, worked in the Special Assignment Unit, worked in the Narcotics Unit, and currently serves on the Department’s SWAT Team. Prior to joining Beaumont PD, Christopher served eight (8) years in the United States Army Reserves. After his Army service, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Lamar University. Today, Christopher will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Trey Billingsley has served with Beaumont PD for eleven (11) years. During his tenure, Trey has worked as a Field Training Officer in the Patrol Division. He has also earned his Bachelor's Degree from Lamar University while serving with BPD. Today, Trey will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Kenneth Bean has five (5) years of prior Law Enforcement experience. Numerous members of Kenneth’s family have either served with or currently serve at the Beaumont Police Department. Kenneth’s grandfather and father, both retired from Beaumont PD at the rank of Sergeant. Kenneth’s uncle currently serves in the Special Assignment Unit and his brother serves in the Patrol Division.
Amanda Duvail is a recent graduate of the Lamar Institute of Technology Regional Police Academy. She has an associates degree as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.
Zachary Moss is a graduate of Nederland High School. Prior to joining the Beaumont Police Department, Zachary worked as a Correctional Officer and as a fabricator. He is a recent graduate of the Lamar Institute of Technology Regional Police Academy.
Nicholas Apple is a graduate of Hardin Jefferson High School. Nicholas served four (4) years in the United States Marine Corps. Nicholas’ parents are both veterans of Beaumont PD. His father, Scott, served the Department for 32 years and his mother, Carman, served for 26 years. Nicholas is a recent graduate of the Lamar Institute of Technology Regional Police Academy.
Tyler Hardwick, is a twenty (20) year Veteran of the United States Army. During his tenure, Tyler served four (4) deployments to Iraq. In September 2022, he received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Sergeant First Class. Tyler is a recent graduate of the Lamar Institute of Technology Regional Police Academy.
Heath Holmes is a graduate of Port Neches Groves High School. After graduation, Heath joined the United States Marines, where he served four (4) years. Heath comes from a legacy of family that have served in the Law Enforcement community. Heath’s grandfather, Popeye Holmes served 56 years in Jefferson County Law Enforcement, his aunt, Crystal, is a retired Beaumont PD Officer, his, father, Mark, is currently employed with the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office with 39 years in Law Enforcement, and his brother, Josh, currently serves as a Beaumont Patrolman.
