The City of Beaumont Hires New Assistant City Manager, June Ellis
Mr. June Ellis began his role as Assistant City Manager, Operations, reporting to City Manager Kenneth R. Williams in the Executive Office. He will work with Chris Boone, Assistant City Manager, Community Services, to round out the executive staff.
Mr. Ellis brings a wealth of experience to the role, most recently as City Administrator (City Manager) of Haskell, Texas. He’s also served as Finance Director for the City of Buda, Budget Officer for the City of Pearland, and held various finance and leadership roles in Missouri City, Sugar Land, and Detroit, Michigan, where he began his city government career.
As the Assistant City Manager of Operations, Mr. Ellis will oversee various City departments and divisions, including but not limited to, Information Technology, Finance, Public Works, Water & Sewer, Solid Waste, Parks Ground and Maintenance, and Highway & Median Maintenance. He will also be tasked with spearheading key City projects, as assigned by the City Manager.
