On Friday, December 30, 2022 at 6:30 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to 1650 E. Lucas in reference to a disturbance between two males. While Officers were in route, dispatch advised that one of the subjects had been stabbed. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The suspect was detained at the scene by responding officers and interviewed by detectives before being placed under arrest and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was charged with murder.
The victim has been identified as Jeremy Fuselier, a 41 year old Beaumont resident.
The suspect has been identified as Brien Cassimere, a 38 year old Beaumont resident pictured below. Judge West has set Cassimere’s bond at $750,000. (Mugshot to be updated when available).
