City of Beaumont Senior Citizen Utilities Discounts Available
With the start new fiscal year and changes to the water and sewer rates, the City of Beaumont wants to remind senior citizens about all the discounts available to them. Free and discounted utilities help offset the cost of living for our older population in order to free up funds and provide our senior citizens a better quality of life. With just one form to fill out, you automatically qualify for discounted water, sewer, and garbage utility services through the City of Beaumont.
- Garbage: 10% Savings off the monthly rate.
- Water: FREE for the first 1,000 gallons.
After the first 1,000 gallons, consumption will be based on the meter size per gallon.
- Sewer: FREE for the first 1,000 gallons.

“We heard the feedback about the rate increases, and while this is not a new program, we wanted to remind the community about the discounts they’re entitled to,” Kenneth R. Williams, City Manager said.
Who Qualifies?
Applicants 65 years of age or older may claim the Senior Citizen Discount rate exemption. Only one exemption per person must reside in a single-dwelling household. This application must be signed by the applicant/spouse meeting the age requirement and an ID verifying the age must be shown or submitted via copy or fax with the request.
How to Apply:
Forms can be requested by mail over the phone by calling 409-866-0023, downloaded from our website https://beaumonttexas.gov/water-billing/, or picked up from Water Customer Service Department of City Hall (801 Main Street, First Floor). They can be returned by mail to The City of Beaumont, Water Customer Service, P.O. Box 3827, Beaumont, Texas 77704, or in-person to the Water Customer Service Department of City Hall.
