Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 6:24 P.M. Officers responded to 6195 N Major Drive, (Lakeside Apartments) in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with a male victim who advised he was robbed at gun point while his two toddlers were in the car with him. The suspect fled in a dark gray Dodge Charger with Georgia plates.
While officers were on scene taking the report and checking for possible video, the victim saw the suspect vehicle pass the apartments, headed north on Major. He alerted the officers on scene and officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver evaded at a high rate of speed and was eventually stopped and identified as Jereem Ajani Cunningham, a 21 year old Beaumont man. Officers located a gun in Cunningham’s vehicle. Cunningham was arrested for Aggravated Robbery and Evading in a Motor Vehicle. He was transported and released to Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
