On Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 7:25 p.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 700 blk IH-10 E, in reference to a major crash involving a motorcycle. Preliminary investigation revealed that the sole occupant of a motorcycle was traveling eastbound in the inside lane when he lost control and struck the center barrier wall. He was thrown over the barrier and was struck by on-coming westbound traffic. Beaumont Fire and EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased. BPD Traffic and ID responded to investigate and process the scene. The Victim has been identified as Shannon Barrios, a 54 year old Lumberton resident.
