
On Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 7:30 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to 3020 Waverly in reference to illegal narcotics at this address.
Beaumont Fire initially responded to a structure fire at this residence. While on scene suppressing the fire, they observed what they believed to be a large amount of illegal narcotics inside the residence, at which time they notified Beaumont Police.
Beaumont Police Officers along with Narcotics Detectives responded, and a search warrant was then obtained for the residence. The following illegal narcotics were located inside; crack and powder cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana and a firearm with ammunition.
The occupant of the residence, identified Glenn Lewis, age 42 was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Felon in Poss of Firearm. This address is in very close proximity to Beaumont United High School and charges may be elevated.
This was a great example of teamwork working along side the Fire Department in removing dangerous narcotics off the street.
