Beaumont Fire/Rescue will begin our bi-annual hydrant maintenance the week of October 21st. Fire hydrant maintenance consists of flushing, painting and cutting grass/weeds to ensure that all city-owned hydrants and water lines are operating properly and will be usable during a fire emergency. This is vital to protecting the homes and businesses throughout the City. Hydrant maintenance will generally be done between the hours of 9:00 am and 6 pm.
Please refer to the map for specific areas, which are outlined in Yellow. The areas west of Eastex Freeway and north of Folsom Drive, and the areas east of Eastex Freeway and north of Garner Road will be first to be flushed and tested.
Hydrant flushing and testing may cause discoloration of your household water in or near areas being tested, which is a result of naturally occurring mineral deposits being disturbed during the flushing process. If you notice discoloration in your water that does not clear after running your cold water for several minutes, please call 311 to report.
Thank you for your patience and continued support of Beaumont Fire/Rescue.
