BPD Detectives are requesting the public's assistance for information about June 16, 2021 Homicide victim, Claude McField. Mr. McField is pictured below and anyone that could help Detectives with information surrounding his movements over the last few days as well as his known acquaintances is asked to call BPD at 409-832-1234. Detectives are also requesting that anyone with surveillance cameras in the area, especially the area shown in the map pictured below, to please check between the hours of 2:00 a.m.- 3:30 a.m. for any footage that may be helpful to the investigation. Information gathered from the scene described a dark colored sedan leaving at a high rate of speed following the homicide. Again, anyone with information that could assist in the homicide is asked to call Beaumont Police at 409-832-1234.

Beaumont Police Investigating Homicide- 4400 Magnolia
On Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2:46 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the 4400 block of Magnolia in reference to a victim of a shooting. When Officers arrived, they located the victim in the middle of the roadway suffering from gun shot wounds. Beaumont EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. He has been identified as Claude McField, a 53 year old Beaumont resident.
Information obtained during the investigation described the suspect as a black male, approximately 5’10 with dreadlocks wearing all black clothing. Anyone with information related to the victim or the crime is asked to call Beaumont Police at 409-832-1234 or Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS (3477). The investigation is on-going.
