The City's Charter Review Committee has been created to comply with state law and address issues of ambiguity. The creation of the Charter Review Committee allows for community participation during the process.
The Charter Review Committee consists of 11 community members.
The Mayor and Council members each appoint 1 member
4 members require a majority vote of Council
The City Manager and City Attorney serve as ex officio members of the Charter Review Committee.
Meetings are held periodically to discuss changes to the Charter and present recommendations to the City Council for submission on the November 2023 ballot.
