Cool Off + Splash Your Way Through Beaumont on a Summer Parks Crawl

Over on the west side of town, Rogers Park has everything you need to have a fun family day in the sun. From a playground with information about the life cycle of a butterfly to a large splash pad appropriate for kids of all ages, parents can hang out under the covered pavilion while their children frolic in the water. Go for a stroll on the winding scenic walking trail or play a game of tennis as a family. Right next door, the R. C. Miller Library is the perfect next stop to cool off, pick up a learning backpack, book, or DVD, and take advantage of their many summer reading programs.

Pearlstein Park is on the very western edge of town, tucked away in a community off Highway 90. Parents and children alike will find something to love about this park: the colorful playground, the large splash pad, the scenic walking trail, or the covered picnic area! This stop on our splashy summer crawl is picturesque and quiet - perfect for any family looking for a relaxing day out of the house at a park you'll frequently have all to yourself.

Located in the heart of town is Central Park, home to the famous Imagination Station. But did you know there is also a splash pad next to it? Bring the kiddos out for a day of fun and creativity and check out the city’s newest park attraction, the futsal court. 

Our next step is east down MLK Parkway to Charlton Pollard Park. This park is fine for the younger set, but it's where older active kids will thrive. In addition to a playground and covered pavilion, a walking trail is sprinkled with challenging activities throughout, like miniature monkey bars and balance beams.

The next stop on our crawl is Roberts Park, located off Roberts Avenue in the southern part of town. Along with a splash pad and playground, there is a covered basketball court and scenic picnic areas fit for every member of your family. Grab a blanket and your favorite snacks and enjoy this quiet park in all its glory!

Liberia Park is another hidden gem in the southern part of Beaumont and should be a must-see on your list. There is plenty of picnic space, covered pavilion seating, a playground for all ages, and a basketball court for the whole family to enjoy. Don't forget to pack some sunscreen because we can promise you'll be out there all day!

Next, travel down to the historic Pear Orchard neighborhood to Sprott Park. You can't miss the bright blue splash pad at the entrance next to an updated playground and perfectly manicured soccer field. This beautiful park also has a covered basketball court and a picturesque walking trail, so take advantage of those amenities for a perfect Texas afternoon.

Our last stop is the historic Alice Keith Park. This park has everything you could want for a fun family day out, from a community center to covered basketball courts, tennis courts, and a playground, but you must check out the Alice Keith Pool during the summer! There is a kiddie pool, wading pool, and even an area to swim laps if you're looking to get a workout in.
