Volunteer
We are looking for dedicated animal lovers to help us improve the quality of life for the animals in our care.
Volunteers must be 18 or older to volunteer; 15 to 17-year-olds may volunteer so long as a parent or guardian is present. All volunteers must attend orientation. Volunteers help us with a number of important responsibilities. View the table to learn more.

Volunteer Service | Responsibilities |
---|---|
Dog Walker | Provide exercise, socialization, and basic training for shelter dogs |
Pet Groomer | Help wash and groom shelter animals |
Cat Caretaker | Get kitties out of their cages to play and interact |
Foster Parent | Take in a shelter pet that needs more care than we can provide, and helps us alleviate crowding |
Off-site Adoptions | Take an animal to Petco and help it find its forever home |
Photographer | Take photos of the animals at the shelter and post them on our website |
Adoption Assistance | Help citizens who come to the shelter with selecting an animal |
Office Helper | Help our staff with filing and front desk duties |

- What is included in an adoption?

Your adopted pet will receive its first set of vaccinations, first deworming, 1 month of flea treatment, will be spayed/ neutered, and microchipped.
- What kinds of animals does the shelter adopt out?

We have cats and dogs always looking for forever homes. On occasion, we even get in rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chickens, goats, and other small farm life that are placed up for adoption.
- What are Beaumont Animal Care's business hours?

We are open Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. And Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
