Human Resources
Human Resources provides staff services in 3 functional areas: personnel administration, safety and workers' compensation, and civil service. The Human Resources administration function includes:
- Obtaining qualified applicants to fill various job vacancies
- Maintaining equitable and competitive compensation practices
- Providing consultation to all departments on personnel-related issues and matters
- Reviewing and/or resolving employee concerns, grievances and appeals
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
- Developing and interpreting policy

Full-time employees may receive up to 10 paid holidays and may accrue up to 12 days of short-term disability a year. Employees may also accrue 15 to 30 days of paid time off (PTO) a year depending on the length of service with the City.
